Norco Christmas Parade

Welcome to the home of the Norco Civic Association Christmas Parade!

The Norco Christmas Parade rolls the first Sunday of every December to usher in the holiday season to the River Parishes. The theme of this year’s parade is “Norco Noel: Santa Goes to the Olympics!”

Parade time 1:00 to 4:00

The original parade ran from the 1950s through the 1980s before it was discontinued. In 2001, a group of residents, including Norco native Stephen Weber, revived the parade. It has rolled almost every year since with a variety of themes. We had to cancel twice for inclement weather, once because of the Covid-19 pandemic and, in 2021, because of damage to our town from Hurricane Ida.

Our parade has grown to nearly 70 entries, including floats, trucks, cars, pageant queens, civic groups, schools, dancing groups and marching bands. We have welcomed the 610 Stompers, the St. Augustine Marching 100, Boudreaux and Clothilde and the U.S. Navy band as we have celebrated music and movies, River Parishes traditions, Veterans, the Super Bowl, elections and first responders.

The parade begins at 1 p.m. at River Road and Apple Street, travels east to Good Hope Street, turns north on Sixth Street, then travels south on Apple Street and disbands at River Road. After the parade, Santa will be available to take FREE photos at the Community Christmas tree, located at the Veterans Memorial on Apple Street. This year’s parade participants are strongly encouraged to incorporate the overall theme in floats, costumes and decorations.  Each participant must submit an entry form and an entry fee of $50. Vehicles must provide proof of insurance.
